In early 2012, after learning about Sandler Partners and its success in helping telecom consultants rapidly establish significant recurring revenue streams, success coach and IT marketing guru Robin Robins approached Alan Sandler about working with the thousands of VARs, MSPs and IT Consultants Robin helps to grow her business. "I think this is a really good fit," she said.
Alan, a high-growth sales executive in his own right who has driven numerous companies into Inc. Magazine's list of America's fastest growing companies (including Sandler Partners), agreed to attend one of Robin's events and meet with some of her clients. Alan had long anticipated the convergence of IT and communications and his firm was increasingly partnering with people on the IT side of the (rapidly vanishing) divide. With cloud solutions moving into the mainstream and providing the long-awaited catalyst for convergence, he knew the timing was right. The question was compatibility, so he set out to meet Robin and her clients.
It turned out that Robin could not have been more right. The entrepreneurs she worked with were the same types of entrepreneurs Alan worked with in with in the telecom space -- upbeat, driven and creating their own successes by helping clients navigate complex and rapidly evolving technologies. Alan left the meeting with Robin and her entrepreneurs with a personal goal of making a trial run with a handful of Robin's entrepreneurs.
The trials were wildly successful for all participants. Robin's entrepreneurs were building new revenue streams while they locked down customers and protecting them from full-service competitors. For Alan and his team at Sandler Partners, which operate solely on a model of shared success, working with these new entrepreneurs proved to be rewarding on all fronts. A perfect match.
Based on these experiences, Alan agreed to roll Sandler Partners into Robin's Technology Marketing Toolkit and step up as full partners to the entrepreneurs she works with, helping them diversify their revenues and fend of competitors while retaining absolute ownership over their customer relationships. In support of this effort, Alan has recruited a team of Sandler Partners superstar channel managers to assist Robin Robins entrepreneurs
